Scientific scope
The European Journal of Media and Digital Communication Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal exploring the sociological, cultural and technological dimensions of communication in the digital age. It publishes original research papers, theoretical essays and reviews addressing sociology of communication, journalism, semiotics, social networks, digital media studies, digital marketing, mass communication, media diversity and transmedia storytelling.
Editorial policy and peer review
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process and are evaluated by at least two anonymous reviewers selected from the journal’s international scientific committee or from external experts in the relevant field. Reviewers are chosen to support disciplinary and institutional diversity. The editorial office safeguards anonymity, fairness and transparency throughout the process in accordance with the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Ethical statement
The journal adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics and promotes research integrity, open access and editorial transparency.
Objectives
The journal contributes to the advancement of media and communication research by fostering international and interdisciplinary dialogue among sociologists, journalists, semioticians and digital communication scholars.
