publishing policy
All academic publications of the International Center for Social Research (ICSR), including the European Journal of Media and Digital Communication Studies, L’Idealista, and L’Idealista Web, are fully open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly publications.
All ICSR content is made freely available online immediately upon publication, without subscription charges, registration requirements or access fees.
User freedoms
Under CC BY 4.0, users may reuse journal content broadly, provided attribution requirements are respected.
Read, download, copy, distribute, print and share published articles.
Search, reference and link directly to the full text of articles.
Remix, transform and build upon the material for any lawful purpose, including commercial use.
Publishing framework
ICSR provides immediate open access to its content because freely available research supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. There are no embargo periods.
Articles are published under CC BY 4.0 unless otherwise specified on the individual article.
Authors retain full copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.
Authors may deposit the Version of Record in institutional or subject repositories and on personal websites immediately after publication, with full citation and DOI link.
Any applicable APCs, waivers or exemptions are described transparently. There are no submission fees unless explicitly stated.
Open access does not affect editorial standards. Submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.
ICSR follows the principles and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics and promotes transparency, research integrity and editorial independence.
Decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, originality, clarity and relevance to the journal’s scope.
Visit the journal page or review the ethical standards governing editorial practice and peer review.
